Control Electronics Box
This is the brains of every TamedTail installation. Inside the enclosure, a dedicated Arduino board runs hard real-time firmware that converts serial commands from the Windows app into precise motor driver signals. The firmware watchdog monitors heartbeat timing: if the app stops communicating for more than 200 ms, the actuator returns to center and the motor driver is disabled. Current clamping, software end-stops, and home-sensor inputs are all handled at the firmware level — not delegated to the PC. The box connects via USB to your sim-racing computer and via shielded signal cables to the actuator and sensor pack. Firmware updates are delivered through the TamedTail app and verified with SHA-256 hashes before flashing.
